About Elaine

After starting out as a licensed cosmetologist in New York City at the age of 19, Elaine eventually left to travel and pursue other interests. She ultimately settled in San Francisco, living on a houseboat while working in the hospitality industry with major hotels. She also worked as a professional fashion model, modeling in fashion shows for major designers and doing print work for local department stores. Elaine then traveled to Milan, Italy, modeling and acting in television commercials.

She returned to San Francisco, graduating cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Communications from San Francisco State University, minoring in Italian and French. She has studied modern dance, ballet, Middle Eastern dance, Afro-Haitian and jazz dance and has done stage makeup for college and local theater performances.

Elaine eventually returned to New York, where she entered the corporate world, working for nearly 20 years in publishing, advertising and marketing. She graduated from the Christine Valmy International School of Esthetics and the Berkowits LASER School. She was employed as an esthetician and LASER technician.
